  1. Yes! And I have realised, today, that this sort of un-compassionate-editing of one’s beautifully-honed-vibe happens all too often in journalism. So that the headline that they wrote, based on a quotation from the person I interviewed which they drew attention to by making it a headline, is re-edited it so it doesn’t sound nearly as cool and effective as it was when I penned it, so now it’s just drawing attention to a bit of the article that I liked before but isn’t there NOW.

    And, yes, that hopefully makes sense. You totally get me. Dig. I agree. And feel your pain. And flail against the three-person editing process at a newspaper. Freelancers, I imagine, much the same as poetry-submitters, find their printed word changed beyond recognition.

    And, dammit, I give a fuck! XD
