under the influence

kafka on the shore
left me wanting more
not so sure about this guy
if he can do it, so can i

drinking lots of bookstore wine
tastes so good, feels so fine
dreaming under city lights
take away my nighttime frights

bacon cheese fries, got home whole
all in one piece, no sold soul
not so long til boyfriend’s home
til then these nightlands i shall roam

  1. Congrats, it takes a lot to actually capture my attention fully. I am always multi tasking. I really enjoyed this poem, possibly because it strays from the norm and actually says something. Well done. Would it be ok if I reblogged this one?

      1. Of course I will. 🙂 and thanks, I don’t reblog much, but this poem I enjoyed.

      2. I hate that when I reblog it makes your format disappear though. That isn’t cool. I’ll play with it.

  2. Reblogged this on HarsH ReaLiTy and commented:

I rarely reblog, perhaps I may start doing that more often for my readers since I do read a ton of posts a day, I had to reblog this one. Not only could I smell the alcohol, which while being at work was maddening enough, but her words rang loudly for me because they were not what I was expecting. I really was thrown off by each line, to me that is Poetry, well done Raw Library.
